ap's Weekly Newsreel is back! The ap team has decided to relaunch its popular "Weekly Newsreel!" Because of its success and popularity, our overview of the last 7 days is back. You can vote on your choice of the best, most beautiful, and aesthetic images. The feature naturally also includes our "User-of-the Week" and his/her photo gallery. Now the new week can finally start! Speaking of getting started - check your Inbox, because Tuesday is Weekly Newsreel Day!

*PHOTO CONTEST* We're giving away three prizes for photos on the subject of "work", in association with our long-term quality partner myooge.com. The pictures should revolve around the topic of work and surroundings. Construction sites, paintwork and forests of street signs are as welcome as tangles of cables, roofers and cement mixers. Let your imagination run wild.

The winner of the photo contest will receive a gift certificate for a 100x70 cm canvas from the art printers. Second and third place will win a 60x40 cm aluminum sheet print.

ap turns bilingual! *BETA

Dear ap:community, for a much too long time you could only navigate and communicate on aboutpixel in the gruesome German language. That was the past... We have finally made the whole site available in English as well. That means your favorite photo community will now be available to people around the globe. ap in English has become a reality! Where in the days of yesteryear Germans, Austrians, and Swiss were among themselves, soon users from all countries will share their passion for photography and great images. Welcome, world!

ap.zoomer ...

An update has been added to ap. The most visible novelty would be the brand-new “ap.zoomer function”. By using this feature, you are now finally able to preview the details of a picture in the original size. How does it work? You will be able to view a 2.000 x 2.000px clipping of the image which you can move and zoom at your disposal. To get to the zoomer function, log in and go to the detailed preview of an image (e.g. Beachcruiser-Sattel). You can get there by selecting “detail view” or by simply clicking on the image.
